Detects Laser speedgun transmissions "missed" by visor/screen mount detectors
SureSpotter Sensor
SureSpotter Sensor
SureSpotter Receiver
Feature Overview
The LS-100 is the reliable way to detect Speed Lasers. Because it's laser-sensors are mounted near the aiming point (a vehicle's license plate), SureSpotter is "sure" to trigger an alert when a vehicle is targeted. In comparison, dash/visor/screen mounted Radar/Lasers often fail to detect laser-gun transmissions. An alert will be missed if the beam does not strike the 'in-cabin" unit. Every portable Radar/Laser Detector should be supplemented with the SureSpotter LS-100.
Feature Detection
SureSpotter detects all speed-lasers in Australia and New Zealand. It is "not" a Radar Detector.
Feature Wireless
Alerts are transmitted to the cabin mounted receiver. There is no need to pass cables through the firewall.
Feature Service & Warranty
SureSpotter is backed by a "replacement" 12 months warranty.

Why you need SureSpotter (as well as a Radar/Laser Detector)

It's a proven fact. Portable Radar/Laser Detectors (all of them) are less than 100% reliable at detecting "short-range" laser hits. Why? The beam is often too narrow to "strike" the laser sensors inside the dash/screen/visor mounted unit. At 300 metres from the Laser Speed Gun, the beam (laser pulse train) is approximately 1 metre (100 centimetres) in diameter. It fans out from a very narrow point of transmission. At 200 metres from the Laser Speed Gun, the beam is about 40 centimetres in diameter. Aimed at the front license plate, the top edge of the laser beam barely reaches the bottom of the car's windscreen.

Is there a way to be sure of receiving laser alerts reliably? It is possible with the right technology. Supplementary laser detection positioned in the area where the beam is aimed at your car solves the problem. With sensors mounted either side of the license plate, SureSpotter will always be triggered even with very short range laser hits. There is also the bonus of advanced warning - compared to dash/screen/visor detectors. Tests have shown that part of the laser beam (scatter) can skip under vehicles ahead and "strike" one of the SureSpotter sensors.

Motorists using SureSpotter LS-100 have been astonished to find that when "it" alerts their Radar/Laser Detector often remains silent. Imagine driving in an RD restricted area with just a dash/visor/screen mount "stealth" integrated Radar/Laser. You are targeted at short range by a Laser Speed Gun and do not get an alert. With little or no time to prepare for a stop, the result could be two tickets and confiscation of the expensive "undetectable" Radar/Laser. Ouch!!!

SureSpotter's optical filtering technology ensures that false alarms are virtually non-existent. When it alerts, you know it's a Speed Laser Gun. The small housings are very inconspicuous. When the receiver (lighter plug design) is removed, the system cannot be activated. Small and safe, SureSpotter LS-100 is a must for serious radar detector users.

Long and Short Range Detection:
High mounted Radar/Laser Detectors (in-car systems) are best at detecting Lasers at longer distances. Short range laser detection (100 - 300 metres) is better with low mounted sensors. LS-100 features dual sensors to achieve detection whether the license plate or a headlight is targeted. Wide-view laser reception maximizes the chance of early-warnings from "hits" ahead or to the side of your vehicle.

Wireless operation:
Alerts are sent to the "in-car" receiver by radio transmission.
Easy installation: No wires through the firewall
Easy connection: Power and earth from the vehicle's battery terminals
Power saver feature turns off system when you leave the vehicle.
Twin receivers: Wide coverage for receiving signals as other cars are targeted
